Since joining your company, I have consistently \u201cgone the extra mile\u201d to try to make a success of the business, as I really believe in the product and recognise that you had real problems with lack of staff. Since you fired\u00a0[Insert Name], I have, in effect, been doing the job of several people and have willingly worked single handily every weekend. While I faced an unusually steep learning curve, largely without training or\u00a0support, and have always been willing to accept justified criticism,\u00a0I have had to spend far too much of my time \u201cfirefighting\u201d because of the errors of others and you constantly changing your mind.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Nonetheless, you have totally disregarded my efforts and initial goodwill and have subjected me to a barrage of unjustifiable abuse. Your behaviour\u00a0towards\u00a0[Insert Name]\u00a0and myself on\u00a0[Date]\u00a0was particularly extreme, unprofessional and out of control, as you were shouting at us irrationally and relentlessly for most of the morning and left me shaking and feeling physically sick. I should have walked out at that point but I had enough regard for the clients to work my solo Saturday shift.\u00a0 However,\u00a0I have had the chance to reflect over the weekend and I am not prepared to accept any repeat of this.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

You regularly humiliate me in front of witnesses including my work colleagues and suppliers. You gossip about me and the other staff members, trying to play us off against each other. You have called me \u201cstupid\u201d, \u201cslow\u201d, \u201cinefficient\u201d and screamed at me that I (apparently like my predecessor, and so many of the people you have interviewed) have \u201cmental problems.\u201d\u00a0 I have witnessed you subjecting my co-workers, [Insert Name] and [Insert Name], to the same treatment and I am aware that you have previously faced legal issues on similar grounds.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I can no longer accept your conduct which amounts to workplace bullying (see attached, from which you will see that this is an absolute textbook case) and is totally out of place in the modern work environment. It makes it impossible for me properly to carry out my duties and is a breach, on your part, of the implied terms of the employment contract. It thus constitutes constructive dismissal in law.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Please take this, therefore, as my resignation with immediate effect. You are not entitled, in law, to insist on the contractual notice period in these circumstances and I am unwilling to work out my notice in such a toxic environment as it is having an effect on my health.<\/strong><\/h5>\n
